Expectation!

Crawling under my skin,
Scratching against my heart,
Pulling my nerves,
Pressing my invisible wounds,
Is a MONSTER I gave birth to!

Mushroomed with ignorance,
Frolicked under orthodox belief,
Fueled on my agony,
The creation I loathe,
Is baptized EXPECTATION!

Haunting my harmony,
Suffocating my belief,
Slayer of multiple friendships,
A cancer that needs to be cut off,
Is laid in the coffin by my CONSCIENCE!

Beyond all illusions,
Liberated from prejudice,
Braced by confidence & empathy,
Bathed in enlightenment,
Is the wise soul REBORN!
